The fantasy AI field guide

Which fantasy MCP server fits your leagues?

A fantasy MCP server is a hosted endpoint that lets an AI assistant read your league; League Loom's, at leagueloom.com/mcp, is free and read-only for ESPN, Sleeper and Fantrax.

It works in Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients. Add it on a computer, then ask in Claude's phone app or ChatGPT on the web. Compare it below with other connectors.

Find your fit

Choose the connection that fits your leagues

League Loom

Fantrax or a mix of supported hosts in your existing AI assistant.

FantasyBot

Its own computed grades, trade values and projections, including for Yahoo leagues.

Flaim

A free connection including Yahoo; ESPN setup uses its Chrome extension on a computer.

FantasyPros MCP server

FantasyPros rankings, projections and advice engines in your AI assistant.

Scoutcast

Scheduled audio briefings for a Sleeper football league, with the same data in your assistant.

STACKED

STACKED projections, trade values and ADP alongside your synced football league in your assistant.

RotoBot

A standalone fantasy and betting research app with league sync.

Oddsmyth

A standalone, read-only co-manager with football and baseball lineup briefs and draft prep. No AI connector.

Fantasy Life

Expert rankings and advice for synced football leagues, plus a live-draft overlay. No AI connector.

An external connector brings league context into an AI assistant you already use. A standalone advisor supplies its own chat or research experience.

Some products offer both. League Loom connects ESPN, Sleeper and Fantrax, including multiple configured leagues, with no connector subscription.

Your AI service may have separate access requirements. Test one roster question and ask the assistant to identify the league data it retrieved, what it inferred and what is unavailable.

League Loom does not support Yahoo or submit roster moves. The technical ESPN guide explains its endpoint and authentication; the football comparison focuses on weekly decisions and draft workflows.

Questions, answered

What is a fantasy sports MCP connector?

It lets an AI assistant call tools that retrieve fantasy league data. League Loom supplies rosters, standings, matchups and other supported context; the assistant uses those results to answer your question. Features and league hosts differ by connector.

Is there an MCP server for ESPN, Sleeper or Fantrax specifically?

League Loom is one hosted MCP server for all three, so a single connection can hold leagues from each, up to 25 per platform. The ESPN MCP guide covers the endpoint, OAuth and a first retrieval. The Sleeper MCP guide covers username setup and Sleeper's public API. The Fantrax API guide explains what Fantrax exposes and why a league URL works best.

Which free connectors can I compare?

League Loom and Flaim both advertise free connector access. League Loom supports ESPN, Sleeper and Fantrax; Flaim documents ESPN, Sleeper and Yahoo. FantasyBot's connector is free for 40 tool calls a day with a FantasyBot account. Scoutcast's MCP page says its connector is free with any account, though its other pages disagree on whether roster questions need the NFL Fantasy Pass. FantasyPros offers a free account to start, with certain advice tools requiring Premium. Your AI service can have separate costs.

Can I connect Fantrax or multiple providers?

League Loom supports Fantrax alongside ESPN and Sleeper, including multiple configured leagues in one connection. Check the provider and sport matrix for the data available in each league. FantasyPros also offers Fantrax league sync; Fantrax access is not exclusive to League Loom.

Can I compare my fantasy players across multiple platforms in Claude?

League Loom can retrieve the players you roster across configured ESPN, Sleeper and Fantrax leagues. Ask Claude to list your football players across leagues and identify repeated players, or request a weekly digest across your configured teams. The real-team example shows a Sleeper lineup check and ESPN bench injuries in one answer. Keep comparisons within the relevant sport and scoring context, and identify missing data separately. A roster inventory does not by itself establish trade value or submit a roster move.

Can I use these tools in Perplexity?

Flaim publishes Perplexity setup instructions. League Loom uses a hosted Streamable HTTP endpoint with OAuth; Perplexity account and connector requirements must also be satisfied. A completed League Loom connection in Perplexity has not yet been verified for this guide. Do not assume generic MCP support guarantees compatibility.

Does an AI connection let the assistant make roster moves?

All current League Loom tools retrieve or analyze data. They do not submit lineups, trades or waiver claims. Check other products individually, and distinguish a recommendation from a submitted move.
