What you need for Fantrax
Your league URL
Open the league in Fantrax and copy its address. If Secret ID discovery finds nothing, load the league by URL instead.
Access to the requested data
Matchup scores, league-scored player points and transactions require the league to be publicly viewable, or your Fantrax session cookie saved at setup for a private league. Without either, a league still shows who plays whom, the schedule, and player roster status and ADP. The cookie is your signed-in Fantrax session, so it is used only to read and is entered only in the setup form.
Your format-specific rules
Salary fields may be returned, but complete contract terms and forecasts are not guaranteed. Supply missing keeper costs or contract rules yourself when they affect the decision.

Suppose the returned player pool lists an available defenseman at a salary of 5, and you tell the assistant you have 8 of cap room.
Check the missing rules
The arithmetic leaves 3 of cap room, but only if your league charges that listed salary. Confirm waiver pricing, roster eligibility, and any drop penalty from your league rules.
Make a conditional decision
Ask whether the player addresses your category needs and whether the cap assumption holds. The assistant should state the assumptions; you submit any move in Fantrax.

Fantrax leagues can have different scoring, roster, and salary rules. League Loom brings the data Fantrax returns into your AI conversation so you can discuss your actual league.
Start with the league URL because account discovery can return no leagues. Matchup scores, league-scored player points and transactions require a publicly viewable league, or for a private league your Fantrax session cookie saved at setup; other leagues still show matchup pairings and player ADP.
Player salaries may be available, but do not assume that contract rules, future costs, or projections are supplied. Ask the assistant to identify missing details before advising on an add. No League Loom tool can change your league; you make any move in Fantrax.

Can I really connect Fantrax to ChatGPT or Claude?
Yes. League Loom is a custom MCP connector you add to ChatGPT, Claude, or another AI tool. It reads your Fantrax league so you can ask about your roster, standings, matchups, and available players in plain language, without copying and pasting anything.
Does it work with category and salary-cap Fantrax leagues?
Yes. League Loom reads Fantrax roster and standings data for category, points, roto, and auction/cap leagues. Salary fields may be returned, but supply any contract rules or costs that are missing before asking for a recommendation.
Is it safe? Can it change my Fantrax team?
No current tool can change your Fantrax team. No League Loom tool can change your league; you make roster moves in Fantrax.
Can it read a private Fantrax league?
Yes, if you add your Fantrax session cookie (FX_RM) at setup and tick the box to use it for private leagues. Without it, a private league still shows rosters, standings and who plays whom, but not matchup scores, transactions or the full available-player pool. The cookie is your signed-in Fantrax session and could act as you, so League Loom sends it only with Fantrax's read requests and never asks for it in chat. It stops working when Fantrax signs you out; paste a fresh one with Edit my existing setup.
Is there a Fantrax ChatGPT plugin or connector?
League Loom is an independent, free connector that brings Fantrax league data into ChatGPT, Claude, and other compatible AI tools over MCP. It is not an official Fantrax product.
Is League Loom free?
Yes. The MCP server and connector are free, with no subscription and no per-league fee. Fair-use request budgets apply. Connect supported ESPN, Sleeper, and Fantrax leagues and ask questions from your AI tool.
Can I set League Loom up on my phone?
Add the connector on a computer: claude.ai or Claude Desktop, or ChatGPT on the web. What works on a phone afterward depends on the assistant. In Claude, a connector added on the web or desktop is also available in the Claude iOS and Android apps, so you can ask about your leagues from your phone. In ChatGPT, custom apps like League Loom currently run only on the web, not in the ChatGPT phone apps. If you start on a phone, use Send to my computer to email or message yourself the link and finish later.
