Your league's teams, on its own numbers

Fantasy power rankings generator for your league

Ask for power rankings and the assistant ranks the actual teams in your league from the standings it reads: each team's record, points for and against, and its roster as it stands today.

League Loom supplies the league data; the ordering and the one-line reasoning come from your assistant. Ask for a link and League Loom publishes the rankings as a page your league chat can open, with every record and score read from the league.

How to connect

1

Add the connector

In Claude or any MCP tool, add a custom connector; in ChatGPT on the web, turn on developer mode and use the + button on the Plugins page. Give it a name and paste the League Loom URL as the server address.

2

Choose your leagues

Load your leagues in the setup wizard. Select a personal team for team-specific help, or leave it unselected for league overviews. No API keys.

3

Just ask

Ask about your roster, waivers, matchups, and more, in plain language, across every league.

Open setup wizard →

Your tool asks for a name and this URL. Then connect your leagues in the setup wizard. Personal team selection is optional.

What the rankings are built from

The standings your league publishes

Standings come back with each team's rank, record, and points for and against, so the ordering starts from the league's own numbers rather than a national template.

Rosters as they stand today

Every team's roster in the league can be read, so a ranking can weigh current talent and injuries rather than only past results.

Matchups and recent moves

Matchup and transaction reads add the current scoring period and recent activity. Sleeper returns weekly transactions with FAAB bids and ESPN an activity feed where trade legs may be partial. Fantrax transactions and matchup scores need a publicly viewable league or your Fantrax session cookie saved at setup.

Your weighting, stated out loud

Record, points scored and roster strength pull in different directions. Tell the assistant which to weight, and ask it to say what it weighted, so the list is reviewable instead of a black box.

Head-to-head only where it exists

Roto and total-points leagues have no head-to-head score, so those rank from the standings. A leader is the current score comparison; calling a team a winner requires a final result.

Worked example

From standings to a defensible list

Illustrative walkthrough. The ordering depends entirely on your league's own numbers.

  1. Read the standings first

Ask for rank, record, points for and points against for every team before any ranking. A team with the best record and middling points for is the first place a ranking should disagree with the standings.

  2. Add the rosters and the moves

Ask which teams have changed most since the season started, using current rosters and recent transactions rather than preseason memory.

  3. Say what you weighted

Ask for one line of reasoning per team and the weighting used. Change the weighting and ask again if you want a roster-first view instead of a results-first one.

Try this after connecting

Use League Loom to read my league's standings, every team's roster and the current matchups. Build power rankings for the whole league. Weight recent scoring and roster strength above record, say what you weighted, and give one line of reasoning per team citing its record and points for. Mark every team whose ranking disagrees with its standings position and explain why. Flag missing data instead of filling it in.

Share

Share your power rankings as a link for the league chat

After the assistant ranks your league, ask for a link. League Loom re-reads the standings and this week's matchups with your own connection, so every record and score on the page comes from your league; your assistant supplies only the headline, the order and a short note per team. You paste the link wherever your league talks.

Records from the league, not the model

Records, points for and against and the week's matchup scores are read from your provider when the page is made, and team names must match the standings.

No IDs, and it expires

The page shows team names, records and points, never league or team IDs or owner fields. It lasts 30 days, is kept out of search, and a private manage link removes it sooner.

Only when you ask

League Loom publishes a page only when you ask for a link or accept the assistant's offer, and Claude and ChatGPT ask you to approve the tool before it runs.

Anyone in the league can open it

League mates open the page on a phone or computer without an account, and it links anyone who wants one to this guide.

Rank the league, then share the link

Use League Loom to confirm my league, sport and season, then read the standings, this week's matchups and each roster. Rank every team from first to last, weighing record, points for and roster strength, and give each team one short note based on the returned data. Show me the ranking first. When I approve it, use League Loom to publish it as a power-ranking page for my league chat, then give me the public link and the private link that removes it.

What the share page will not do

  • Post to your league chat or message anyone. You paste the link.
  • Stay up for good. Pages expire after 30 days.
  • Show league or team IDs, owner fields or anything from your connection.

Formula

A fantasy power rankings formula you can adjust

Most power rankings blend three things: how a team has done, how well it scores and how strong its roster is now. Tell the assistant how to weight each one, or ask it to state the weights it used.

Record

Wins, losses and the current standing, read from the league.

Points for and against

Season points scored show a team's real strength, and points against show who has been unlucky, where the standings return them.

The roster today

Current rosters and injury status show who is getting stronger or weaker. Projections count only where your provider returns them.

Illustrative example with fictional teams. It shows the shape of an answer, not a recorded league.

You askWeight points for at 50 percent, record at 30 and roster at 20. Who moves?

Example answer

Gridiron Gang stay first: the best record at 6-1 and the most points for.

Comeback Cats are 5-2 but sixth in points for, so with your weights they drop from second to fourth.

Waiver Warriors are 2-5 with the third-most points for, so they climb to sixth as the unluckiest team in the league.

Every sport

Power rankings for fantasy basketball and hockey leagues

The same rankings work for NBA leagues on ESPN, Sleeper and Fantrax and NHL leagues on ESPN and Fantrax. A shared page works the same way in every sport, with records and scores read from the league and notes from your assistant.

Points leagues

Rank on returned points for and records, as in football. Basketball and hockey weeks hold more games, so ask for the highlights rather than every player line.

Category and roto leagues

The ranking rests on the standings, because matchup reads give team totals rather than a category-by-category breakdown. Ask the assistant to name the basis it used.

Why League Loom

Your league's teams, on its own numbers

Most power-ranking tools make you paste in standings or use a generic template. League Loom reads your league's live data directly, so the AI ranks your actual teams with real records, points, and rosters, and it works the same across ESPN, Sleeper, and Fantrax.

FAQ

Questions

Is this power rankings generator free?

Yes. League Loom is a free connector with fair-use request budgets and no paid tier. It gives Claude or ChatGPT read access to your league, and your assistant writes the rankings, so the assistant's own plan and custom-connection requirements apply separately.

How does the AI decide the rankings?

It reasons over your league's live standings, points for/against, and current rosters. You can also tell it to weight record, scoring, or roster strength however you like.

Does this work for my Fantrax league?

Yes. League Loom is one of the few AI connectors that supports Fantrax, alongside ESPN and Sleeper, so you can rank teams in any of them.

Does it work in a roto or category league?

Yes, on a different basis. Roto and total-points leagues have no head-to-head result to read, so the ranking comes from the standings, and category leagues rank on the categories the provider returns. Ask the assistant to name the basis it used.

Can it rank a league where I have no team selected?

Yes. A league overview with standings, matchups and recent activity does not need a personal team selected, so you can rank a league you only follow.

Can it rank teams across all my leagues?

Yes. With multiple leagues connected, you can ask for rankings in one league or compare your standing across all of them at once.

Can I share the power rankings with my league?

Yes. After the assistant ranks the league, ask for a link to post in your league chat. League Loom publishes a page with each team's record and points read from your league plus the assistant's notes, and never shows league or team IDs. Anyone with the link can view it for 30 days, it is not listed in search, and a private link removes it sooner.

Is League Loom free?

Yes. The MCP server and connector are free, with no subscription and no per-league fee. Fair-use request budgets apply. Connect supported ESPN, Sleeper, and Fantrax leagues and ask questions from your AI tool.
