Why League Loom

Built for Fantrax NBA dynasty and cap leagues

Fantrax is where serious NBA managers run dynasty, keeper, and salary-cap leagues, and those formats are exactly what most AI fantasy tools cannot read. League Loom reads them: it connects your Fantrax NBA league to Claude, ChatGPT, or another AI tool through Fantrax's own data, so the AI can answer about your standings, your roster and player salaries, your matchups, and the waiver wire.

It is free, and your Fantrax credentials are sealed into your own encrypted connection (with an optional encrypted email recovery backup).

FAQ

Questions

Does League Loom work with Fantrax NBA category leagues?

Yes. League Loom reads Fantrax NBA leagues in category, points and roto formats, including the scoring label Fantrax returns. Standings and matchups come back as team results rather than a category-by-category breakdown, and per-player category stats come from available-player data in viewable leagues, not from rostered players. Supply missing category details before exact category math.

Can it read player salaries and contracts?

It reads each rostered player's current Fantrax salary, so you can ask which salaries to shed or weigh, not just who is available. Keeper years left comes back when your viewable league has that column; escalators, cap rules and keeper costs are not returned. Supply those and the assistant keeps them separate from league data.

Does it cover dynasty and keeper formats?

Yes. League Loom uses your roster and league settings across redraft, dynasty, and keeper formats.

Is it free, and does it need my Fantrax password?

It is free, and it never needs your password. League Loom reads publicly viewable Fantrax leagues without a login. For a private league, matchup scores and transactions need your Fantrax session cookie, which you can add at setup and League Loom uses only to read. Any credentials are sealed into your own encrypted connection rather than stored on a server.

How do I connect a Fantrax NBA league?

Paste the league URL from your Fantrax address bar into setup. Account discovery by Secret ID returns an empty list for many accounts, so the URL is the reliable route. Fantrax exposes no owner data on any endpoint, so you also pick which team is yours once, and every later answer knows your roster and your standing.

Why are my matchup scores or transactions missing?

Matchup scores and transactions come from the API the Fantrax website itself calls, and it answers only for a league that is publicly viewable, or for a signed-in member of a private one. Without either, League Loom reads the official schedule instead, so you still see who plays whom, without scores, but no transactions. League info, rosters with salaries, standings, draft results, and average draft position come from the official external API and are unaffected. For scores and transactions in a private league, add your Fantrax session cookie at setup, or ask your commissioner to make the league publicly viewable.

Does it know my league's contract rules or future salaries?

No. Fantrax returns a current salary per rostered player, not your league's contract length, escalators, or keeper costs. Supply those yourself and ask the assistant to keep them separate from what the league actually returned before it judges a contract.
